6 Creative Ways To Market Your Home Consultant Business
So, you know all the ins and outs of your new home consultant business.
You have read all the literature, tested all the products and went over your sales pitch over a hundred times. Now, where are all those customers?
One of the most daunting tasks of any home consultant, especially newer consultants, is finding customers. While flyers alone might sometimes work, it usually takes a mixture of marketing, creativity and determination to get others interested in your business. Here are a few ideas to help you bring in customers and increase your business.
- Send an impressive gift basket featuring your products to a local radio station and encourage them to give it away on air. Make sure you include all the details regarding your business and how customers can get in contact with you.
- Hold a "free" business seminar. If your company allows this, you can hold a free business seminar in a local hotel conference room and encourage attendees to inquire more about your business opportunity.
- Put together a booklet of fun, humorous coupons and encourage local businesses to give them away as promotional items. Coupon ideas can include anything from "25 Coupons for Crazed, Unappreciated Moms" to "15 Coupons for Eternal Youth". Coupons can be designed in a standard PC graphics program and printed on your home computer. Make sure to include plenty of information regarding your business.
- Using a basket, card stock and cheap lollipops, make a basket of lollipops with your business information attached. Drop by local hair and nail salons to see if they'd be interested in leaving the candy out for customers children.
- Window decals are always a winner. Make your "slogan" humorous and intriguing so the car behind you just HAS to read what is inscribed.
- Break away from the normal classified ad. Make up a jazzy and humorous classified ad that's sure to grab attention. What would grab your attention? Would this ad make you curious: "Want free information on how to keep your kids from pulling your hair out?". Begin thinking out of the box with your classifieds.
Remember to take note of billboards, television and radio commercials that capture your attention and what made them so intriguing. The only limits on how you can market your business are the limits of your imagination.
