What Goes Into A Baby Shower?
by Marian Thompson
What first goes into the making of a baby shower is love, support and friend-ship to the parents-to-be. This should be the central theme for a baby shower.
Traditionally, it's non-relatives that host a baby shower; however, it has become more acceptable for family members to do the hosting. Probably the only one who should not host the shower is the mother-to-be herself! Showers are typically held in homes, churches or other
facilities which hosts events. Gifts are usually selected based on where mom-to-be is registered.
Usually a baby shower is held before baby is born, approximately six weeks in advance. Start making a complete list of guests. Budget and time limitations will also need to be factored into planning arrangements.
Additional Baby Shower Planning Tips:
-Invitations Should include where mother-to-be is registered and any special notes. Is it a surprise or not?
-Menu Should reflect Theme of shower. Make the day one of "Celebration" !
-Location Should be easily accessible for guests and be able to comfortably accomodate everyone.
-Atmosphere Introduce your guests as they arrive and provide name tags. Offer plenty of refreshments and snacks. Enjoy the day!
